Beach time...

Since nak makan pun tak boleh kan, i thot Danish and I shuld go and hang out at the beach, namely Teluk Batik. Weekdays, that place is just heaven... no one's around exc for one or two.. and a couple of otters.. exactly, otters in the sea..betul ke?? but they were otters.. since their heads were furry, otherwise my second guess wuld be turtles. Pagi2 the sun is on the otherside, and we got trees shading us.. actually the day before, aryss and arman came with us to the beach, and we stayed for a short while only. so, the next day we came back.. and the morning 2 days after that.. Danish hadovercome his fear of the waves and the sand. tu laa... pasir pun dia tanak pijak dulu.. it's 5 days before the Eid, so we wanna wish evryone Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir Batin. if you guys happen to be around Lumut/Sitiawan/manjung, do drop us a visit.

The Lost World of Tambun

TNB Perak threw a Family Day for their staffs here, the first after so many years. If anyone was wondering what the place is like, like what Faiz said, Sunway just cut and paste their theme parks. well, a bit of cut and paste, but not as extensive as sunway lagoon, in terms of rides. There's only 4 dry rides, but mostly it's a water theme park. For a mother of a 1 year old, nothing too inadequate since i had to watch Danish closely.
We had an early morning, Faiz was a committee member for the day, he was there for almost 12 hours. He was in charge of games and Baby/toddlers contests. i gotto be 1 of 2 panel of judges. How cool except for the fact that my kiddo isn't elligible for the contest.
By about 1pm, we couldn't wait for Papa anymore to jump into the pool. Danish was scared at first cos it was his first time using the swimming ring, which defeated the purpose, cos it's too small (supposed to be for kids 2-3 years old--hey, Danish isn't that big laa) it sank a bit in the water. I had to lift it up all the time. He had a marvellous time, trying to play with the big kids but ended up got splashed, terkebil2 mata dia.
When Papa Danish joined us, we hired a big tube that goes around the "river". Then there was a tiger feeding show. They let out 4 out of 8 tigers they have there out oftheir cage into the open area cage. 3 of them are two-year-old triplet. They are superstars in 'Waris Jari Hantu'. It's amazing how they were so active and the fact that they know their names and catch the meat only when it was meant for them.
We left at about 6.30pm, everyone else from TNB was nowhere to be seen. The car parks was mostly empty. There were over 5000 just TNB staff that morning. It was a perfect day, it wasn't too sunny nor too cloudy. The whole excitement just cost us RM5 for the tube, the rest were all taken care of.. :-D

Lantern fest....

On our way home from Penang, we made a stop at the Taiping Lantern Fest. It's been going on for quite a while, we saw it on our journey back from Penang previously, so we made a point to stop for it the next time we pass by.. Not many visitors as u can see. They were marvellous, they should get the credit. Maybe next time, we'll go to the Taiping zoo.

Fraser's Hill

It was cool and beautiful up at Fraser's Hill. We stayed at Fraser's Pine Resort, which was quite affordable considering its huge apartment size and taking advantage of the off peak season. The most memorable experience was perhaps Danish's horse ride. You were quite a rodeo, boy... We also had a nice time relaxing by the coffee shop, reading books, just like the coffee shop described by John Grisham in The Broker. Cool... We also went for bird watching, looking out for beautiful cottage, walking by the hilltop, and others. On our way back, we stop by the Sungai Selangor Dam near Kuala Kubu Bharu. The scencery was simply beautiful.

Nadia & Saifudin's wedding

Much anticipated wedding had finally taken place. Lucky Faiz got a course to attend in KL the next week so we got to come down. Congrats to the bride and groom! As for the married with kids, it was a lovely gathering for us, the AAA (Aryss/Azwan/Arman) and Iwan/Ita/Husna. It had a garden theme with pretty bird cages and fresh flowers, really sweet!

The East Coast

What a trip we had last week!!! wonderful... we spent 2 days in Seremban (Faiz had a briefing back in KL), then we headed to K.Terengganu on Friday night. The plan was to stay 4 days in Terengganu and on Sunday, to go to Jery's wedding in K. Krai (K'tan). My folks joined the trip but they came by AirAsia on Sat nite. Btw, Terengganu is my dad's hometown, so the trip was really meant for the newcomers in the family (Faiz and Danish) to visit our relatives back there for the first time. Unfortunately, or rather fortunately, Faiz had to go to a forum in Malacca on Tuesday, hence the trip had to be cut short. We didn't even go to Jery's wedding eventhough that was the real reason for coming to the East coast. We just visited him the day prior before my folks arrived. We saw Kak Has at Seri Malaysia (she worked there) where we stayed. Went to Kak Ton's and Pak Lang's house. We managed to drop by the enormous state museum (really awesome architecture, but got really tired at the end walking in there), went to Losong to get some Keropok and tasted the real and original Nasi Dagang (it's really different and more delicious compared to those i had outside of T'ganu). On our way to Malacca, we used the same coastal road my family had used time and time again in the past, but this time was totally different. For the first time we drove on the road during the day. Guess what?? I for the first time got to appreciate that road. My goodness, it was really an incredible scenery. you could really see the ocean from the road. All these while, it was always dark i missed the whole thing! Then we decided to get to one of the beaches. We went to one of the small roads that goes to Tanjung Jara, we got to this long stretch of road which just next to it was the sea and the sandy beach. there were not a lot of trees so our view were never obstructed from looking at the horizon. The waves were quite strong, they weren't the same as the ones in West coast. The way they hit the beach, it was really spectacular. It's like surfer's paradise. What makes it really special, at the time we got there, there were only a few people there. The place was like a secret beach. really cool!!! what a nice way to end the trip.
